“The Neville Stewart team replaced a retaining wall on my boundary Nov 2017. The planning process was well organised and the plan was clear. Costing and part payment expectations were clearly explained. There were no hidden costs or surprises. The men were courteous to me and my neighbour. They worked hard with up to 5 men on the job and sometimes only 2. They worked together well as a team and I didn't hear any swearing or bullying. They kept the work site tidy and left it cleared every evening. They worked in all weather. They kept me informed on progress and what to expect the next day. Their work is tidy. The wall can be seen from a long way off. I am very pleased with the retaining wall.”

“If you want a truly special garden, talk to Jason. He designed our garden and then built it. It was amazing to watch our shared vision take shape. From the dry stone walls to the raised vegetable beds, paving, pergola and an encyclopaedic knowledge of what best to plant, where...Jason knows his stuff! We were so impressed with Jason's design ideas, the quality of his workmanship and his attention to detail that we have hired him again to design our new garden -- even though our jobs have now taken us to the North Island.”

“Last year I bought a beach property with a scraggy untidy garden. I had a vision of what I wanted to create for future generations of my famiy to enjoy but not knowing the local conditions I needed to find someone who had the understanding and expertize me to realize my aspiration. Jerome and his team not only had the expertize they had access to all the plant varieties including mature palms to give the garden a seasoned look right from the get go. What has been achieved is amazing and much admired by locals and visitors alike this is a hardworking talented team and they even turn up every3-4 months to make sure everything is still thriving, I certainly got my monies worth.”

“We contracted Jon from Wellington Gardens to design a garden for us, and to then implement that design. The design included the following build elements; a long wooden retaining wall (1.2m down and up), gates, a raised pebble stone area, a large deck (with railings), a sloped concrete path to the house, lights, and clearing & planting. Jon brought a practical approach to the design and build and was a pretty good judge of what was important to us (even if he underestimated my passion for right angles). He was very keen to avoid unnecessary cost for us. In the implementation of the build Jon brought a fantastic team of sub-contractors. Their professionalism and high standards were exceptional! I assume that we paid more overall than we might have if we had contracted and managed the work ourselves. However the quality of interaction and workmanship would almost certainly not have been as high. And it would have been considerably more stress. Through the build Jon was always available, whether at our very regular onsite catch ups, or at the end of a phone. At all times it felt like he was giving the build his full attention - even though we were aware that he had other jobs on the go. So in summary, we were very happy with our engagement with Jon and Wellington Gardens, and would not hesitate to use them again.”
