“Purchasing a product from Sanstone is a rare gem of an experience in one’s lifetime. After a lengthy web search, I decided on the Sanstone Bar Leaner and Stools as advertised on their website. A pleasing form and lightweight concrete for what appeared to be easy for manoeuvrability.. The day of the initial enquiry proved inconvenient with the vendor as they were suffering from a plumbing leak in the office and Heather was struggling to concentrate as the building was not watertight After an initial enquiry, the deposit was paid in March with an estimate building time of 8 weeks. After 6 weeks,I rang to check on progress to hear that they were short staffed after a bug had gone through the building. The following week, they were still waiting for the mould …… was a little worried here as I thought they may have those given the product was on the website. The following week the mould had only just arrived. The next week they were checking the quality of the first cast The next week they had some massive orders to fulfill so I was on the back burner The next week they were trying to source a pallet with the integrity to support the bar leaner! The next week, the forklift brought of a friend had let them down and they couldn’t shift stuff. The next week the part required to fix the forklift had only just turned up. The next week it appeared that the forklift fault was just a faulty radiator cap in the end but a decent pallet still proved elusive The next week the item had finish problem with rough inside edges needing attending to The next week it was so cold they were struggling to get moving. The following week the product was finally ready!!!!!!!! I despatched myself from PN in my little flatbed ute for the lengthy drive to Auckland for the pickup. On arrival, I was a tad perturbed at the weight of the order ……. The table was close to 300kgs and each stool was in excess of 50 kgs ……. That was half a tonne and when loaded on the ute, the steering was very light indeed for my 400 klm trip home. Arriving at my destination eventually after a careful 9 hour drive, I had to hire a truck with a stout hiab crane along with a crew to crane it over my fence and into its final position. I’m now very happy with the finished product despite the 18 week wait and not being able to adjust the seating arrangements. Highly recommended, I think Sanstone produce great products”
