We have worked with Alex in a do up and then a re build after the earthquake, and found her brilliant. We didn't have an open ended budget and Alex worked with that making sure money was spent with the biggest impact. Alex is a fantastic communicator and had admirable patience working with myself and my husband to get the compromise we are both really happy with. She definitely decreased the stress of building a house by having designs/decisions organised before dead lines. I love my home, the colours, the practicability of the materials used, furniture set up and flow. Thank you Alex I would recommend you to anyone and everyone.

We are extremely happy with our new house, which he completed in good time, on budget, and to a high standard even we as the homeowners didn’t expect. James is a great combination of old school character values, quality workmanship, enthusiasm, and cutting edge building techniques. This was our first build and James communicated with us right throughout, giving us pointers when we weren’t sure what was best but took our direction when we knew what we were after.

I dealt with Emma Morris from Eterno Design for my new house. she did all the interior and also work together with the architect and landscape designer to make sure that everything flow nicely. she also did some of my furnitures and helped chose my curtains. she is great to work with. Very easy to contact, so i dont have to chase her around which is quite a nightmare when you have a lot of tradies. she handled all the tradies for me and therefore i didnt have much problem. she arranged everything from quotes from different suppliers and joiners to the finishing. she was even monitoring the installation to make sure they are up to her standard and it is perfect. her tradies are good and easy to deal with - even after they finished their job and the house settled, so a few adjustments were necessary. she understood what i need and want. she only needed to revise slightly of her design for my kitchen. this really save time and money for me, revising things will definitely costs me more. so i was really happy when i could keep the costs down. the kitchen is very low maintainance, practical and timeless. i got a lot of compliments from friends and family. what i like about emma is that she let me know the pros and cons of everything from types of materials, finishing, lighting and even paints. this is the first time i am building a house, so her experience and knowledge definitely helps. there are no hidden costs as well with emma. she takes a bit of commission and she gets discounts from her suppliers too so the price were reasonable. i definitely recommend her. i will definitely would get her to help me in my future project. since i know she is very responsible and take pride in her work.

Young Architects

I have never seen anyone get more excited about a new building than the people of Redcliffs. I could barely get any work done! The story starts, as so many others in Christchurch, with earthquakes and demolition. The team at Young Architects has close ties to the neighbourhood, and was involved in the rebuild of the community library from the very beginning. They took up the challenge of designing an inviting public meeting space that reflects its community. From the red colour of the building to the gable construction reminiscent of the spines on a bookshelf, the library is a space Redcliffs is very proud of, as I soon learned. Since I happen to live down the road, I did more than my usual share of bullying the client into involving me. I knew the semi-translucent gable would be perfect for blue hour photography once finished. I got really excited picturing the final images in my mind's eye. When Greg Young and I finally toured the library, the degree of pride in the community was almost overwhelming. People stopped us repeatedly in the streets to tell their library stories, express how proud they are, and what a good guy Greg is. There were even a few hugs. While I was shooting the building a little while later, people repeatedly told me how happy they were with their new library. It was touching to see how connected everyone felt with this space. I hope the images will do the project justice.
Dominic Hassan Architect Ltd
Heritage Building Conservation Services in Waikuku, Canterbury
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars19 October 2018
Dominic Hassan Architects created a design that respected and enhanced our mid-century modern Wellington home, when we asked him to design our extensive home renovations. From the inititial concept, through to completion, Dominic was responsive to our aspirations, yet sensitive to our budget. Visitors to our home are always impressed by the special touches in the design detail. Everyone LOVES our kitchen design, and they comment about how well the design of our entry foyer compliments the 1960s character, while achieving modern ease, and making a feature of our gorgeous view. Dominic responded to our needs, while encouraging us to consider design options we had not considered. He guided us sensitively through the design process. Dominic gave us confidence while working with our builder as we always knew that he was taking responsibility for any challenges that arose. We are thrilled with the outcome, and highly recommend Dominic for anyone considering renovations that can allow their home to shine.
Coughlan Construction Limited

I could not recommend the team at Coughlan Construction highly enough. We have had a number of building projects on our property and each has come with its own challenges. Right from the start they have delivered on their mission "the builder that listens". The Coughlan team have delivered on our high expectations of workmanship (including the sub contractors) and they have completed this all within budget. We have also 'changed the goal posts' on a number of occasions and Coughlan's had the flexibility, knowledge and adaptability to make things happen. The building team were thorough, tidy, professional and a pleasure to work with. A job well done.

Fernandes Architects

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars23 May 2019
So so perfect. I was not the best or easiest client to work with as the concept I had was so vague and the budget was so...non-existent, I had absolutely no idea really whatsoever. Fernandes plucked the information he needed from the conversations we had and he created a perfect space that was well affordable and just right. SO GOOD> would totally recommend.
Inline Architecture Ltd

Kelly and Cameron assisted us with the design and concept plans of our new build. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted in our home, but how we put it all together and made it work, on our section, was something we needed help with. Kelly and Cameron listened to us and developed a plan we absolutely loved. They came up with ideas we had not considered previously that utilised our spaces perfectly. Always on hand to answer any of our questions, they are an approachable, friendly, professional team that work together very well. We would not hesitate in recommending Inline Architecture. Our experience was faultless – they were a delight to work with.
