The design pushes the boundaries of residential construction methods. The structure is fabricated off site in a steel engineering shop then transported to site and installed. The self supporting exposed structural steel frame sits lightly above the ground on eight points rather than having a traditional concrete slab making it extremely safe in a large earthquake scenario. The steel detailing is extremely technical so some of them have been modeled in 3D to ensure everything works.
