Review for Intersect Design, LLC.
We met with Jennifer of Intersect Design on the recommendation of a neighbor whose remodeling project turned out beautifully. Being an artist with strong design opinions myself, and having managed our other past remodelings I didn't know if we really needed a designer, but wanted to hear what she'd suggest and offer -- especially because we planned both an addition and extensive updating of most of our 1960's house.
At our first meeting Jennifer asked all the right budget and timing questions, and pretty perceptively picked up on our esthetic -- our living/artistic/color style. She soon came back with rough plans and sample surfaces, tile, etc., allowing us to quickly dive in to the process, and then find a contractor. I can really obsess over the broad possibilities, so her editing of those, in such an intuitive way, was liberating and efficient. She saved me many hours of deliberating and enabled quicker decisions throughout the project, which helped us and contractor. She is not an architect, and if you're doing any tricky structural work you will want or need architectural and engineering advice, but I would recommend her design services to anyone. She's also very upbeat, responsive, and a good communicator.
