I have had good luck with getting rugs on Etsy. Many are made-to-order so you can get specific colors you want. I can send you some names of good rug websites as well. In my opinion, a gorgeous rug can make a room look 100% better.

Long day with The grandkids; I ended up eating supper there as it’s probably one of the last days that I will be able to stay that late. This morning however before I left I got cat head butts from Ollie! I held up my hand to him and he butted his head against my hand a couple of times!

If the sister didn't know the type of food and just picked something at random and now you switched it up a bit, could be just a lot of change if he has a sensitive tummy. Or he could be gulping it down if he was used to Violet eating his food. Maybe cut back on the wet a little and see how he handles that and go from there. It seems he wasn't vomiting the first few weeks so maybe try to determine what has changed? I would just do gradual changes if you decide to switch anything.

Babo, Violet is outgoing, Ollie is reclusive and shy. Two opposite personalities. He is gradually coming out of his shell. Hard times for both, as after several years with their owner, he died at 66, unexpectedly, leaving them cared for in their own home, but abandoned in terms of love, routine etc….they have different needs, but both are traumatized. Not a bonded pair, unfortunately…I thought they were. Brother and sister, but she is a boss cat. He cowers.

Fiss, I’m ready to purge the whole house which is why I’m excited to move. When I moved here, from the rental, I found purging to be quite freeing. If it can’t move with you then you shouldn’t have it.

After four estate/business closings and all the inherited “stuff,” OB’s dad’s is doing the same. I’m kinda partial to my own pickings and splurges and even tho I like some of the things inherited over the years, I wouldn’t have bought them in the first place. OB’s family has large, framed artworks. They were expensive, so one hates to just pass on to a thrift store or estate auctioneer. Not to mention his deceased brother obtained many of them while stationed somewhere. Artworks…ok. But the many deer heads and other stuffed and unstuffed animals will not gain entry unless it’s OB’s personal catch (three full mount deer heads). My house doesnt have wall space.

So far the plan is to clean out the dad’s house then OB start on his place and move in with me. I don’t know where I’m going to put him. The kids aren’t settled enough to take what they’re storing here, and OB needs a big garage….this is gonna be fun. I need to live long enough to finally feel “settled.”

I have a lovely , conditioned storage unit. My mother saved nothing, ever. I still have nieces and nephews who are launching, and given the cost of everything, I like to be a resource.

Happy birthday, printesa! My daughter's birthday is Oct. 7th and she's the most delightful person so folks born in early October are just really nice to know. I'll show you something I got her for her birthday because I think you'd like it as well. It's a garden seat/kneeler (I have one just like it) but what makes it special are the little legs that can extend out to the back of the seat and it stabilizes the unit from falling backwards. The extension legs fit right back into the regular leg if you don't need them. I really like mine. It all folds up into itself and is easy to carry and store. I honestly don't know if she already has a garden seat/kneeler but I will find out soon. Lol. This one is from the rainforest site and it's a bit stronger than many of the other choices.

thank you happy and Jay! It's been a nice quiet day. We went to my in-laws to see them after their return and as we were walking there, the rain started pouring:)) Good thing it's a short walk and they had umbrellas for us to return:) Tomorrow we will have some cake. I still have to assemble it. I finished the cream and it has to stay in the fridge for an hour or so..better be good:)

Jay, that seat looks really good. I will look at the details. Thank you for the link. I am sure your daughter will enjoy it. Happy early birthday:)

Just having a little fun with the decor for this room and adding some furniture. Ai has widen the room a tad and added a few features that don't exist, and it may not be the style that the op is wanting, but it's fun to think about what the room could be.

Not sure what your budget allows, so here’s an idea using some of your current items. You may not have room for all of it but gives you a vision for possibilities.

It looks a bit impersonal and sterile. Add wood tones to help warm up the space.
