I have som broccoli that got left unharvested for too long, because we were away camping. Lat night half of it became broccoli meatballs, tonight the remainder will become Jane Brody’s Curried Broccoli Soup. Its a great quick recipe if you have never tried it.

@DLM2000-GW I will have to try adding chicken sometime! I haven’t made the slaw in a while, now I’m wanting it.

As for grocery stores, there are 2 in my little town, I mostly use 1. We do have a few local produce markets and farm stands. I love those! My main produce market has a weekly truck come from Florida during the winter. Friends with a farm just recently opened the cutest little store on their property! Fresh eggs, organic coffee, local honey and jellies, etc. and bedt of all, she makes sourdough bread and some bakery type items! i love sourdough bread!!

There is an Aldis in one of the big cities near me but I’ve only been there a couple of times and it was just kind of meh. Could have been that particular store.

DLM, I do not know about Aldi’s location requirements, but its business model allows it to operate in lower-income urban neighborhoods, at least here in Chicago, that otherwise wouldn’t have access to grocery stores. They far exceed even Walmart stores.

Northerners who are seeing more rabbits this year are seeing the Eastern Cottontail spread into the territory of the New England Cottontail. Its actually kind of sad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrUrGXlq15k

Lots of bunnies this year too, but mostly due to having no hurricanes last year. You see very few after hurricanes that dump a lot of rain, so many of the rabbits must drown and it then takes 2 years for their numbers to come back up. I'll take the extra bunnies and no storms!

That’s so funny, eld. :D

Sue, what a cutie!

No rabbits here due to neighborhood cats. We had lots at our last house.

What about the Crate and Barrel Virage. My minimalist’s heart finds it very pleasing and it gets good reviews for comfort. Maybe the ”arms” arent defined enough?

In Maine, we eat hot dogs rolls which are sliced on the top. The ”side sliced” rolls are available. I dont know anyone who buys them.

I'm stll trying to figure out the distinction. I grew up in NYC , now live in Pa, and it sems whatever hotdog buns I've purchased are what I expected.

Can anyone tell me what kind I likely gravitate to? The growing up in NYC ( Brooklynto be more precise) may be the clue needed.

This is all new to me.

I tried them, but did not like the top slit. Will go back to side cut. Not enough room for everything that I like with the hot dog.

On the flipside of Shuggie, which I agree was dismal, but compelling, I just finished The Road to Tenderhearts by Annie Harnett. What a romp! So fun!

Yes, I too placed a hold on Kingsolver a few days ago, but even then, was 21st in queue. Not a die hard fan of hers, but like her well enough to read whatever she puts out. Didn't know about Garmus's new book. Will look for it.

I love the countryside mural. I think it makes the room look exquisite. Its a beautiful room with lovely proportions. It can carry that look well. My second choice would be the lighter green grass cloth.

I love that idea! Originally I was planning to move the map above the book case if it is not too overwhelming and i have 9 gold framed prints of english landmarks stowed for when this is finished to pair on the window wall.

The english prints and frames hold no sentimental vallue at this time. I found the prints in a consignment shop and the Framed I purchased at micheal’s when i did the botanicals so I do not need to use and I do agree a rethink and edit after the paper is complete is in order.
