Your En Fuego Bloom is so colorful, and the leaves are excellent. Oh, you got TWO inches of rain?!! That's a LOT. My goodness. And your winds sound fierce. Gorgeous color on your Earthsong bloom!! Is Savannah close in age to Gracie? Cutie patootie.
Kitty - holy cow!! That's sounds like pretty impress and scary lightning and thunder!! Did you get a lot of rain? Eek!!! And a tornado warning!! Tornadoes are so scary!! I've been through 2 of them, and I hope to never have to again. Oh, you did get a lot of rain. Poor Kitty hiding under the covers. And Anastasia is fine? She's a very brave dog!! Actually, Sugar is fine with thunder, too. Teddy is a mess. You are right. Rue Saint-Honore did have a very strong fragrance today.

I wonder how many bags of manure, soil, etc. it will haul at your new home. :) Your Halloween decorations are very sweet...they all have smiles. :) I saw your fence in the picture, and remembered that you put up that expensive fence. The new owners are lucky to have a zero maintenance fence. I wish you could have taken it with you. lol What is your new fence like? I can't remember. I know it's not metal, like our chain-link one. Oh, it doesn't matter. lol Yummy on the apple crisp!! I have a fantastic apple crisp recipe that my mom used to make. I make it now and then, and it's heavenly. :)

You're right, Heirloom Roses has an Eisvogel hydrangea. lol I'm not sure how I can repeat my good sleep. Maybe I was so utterly exhausted from not sleeping well. That's terrible you've had such poor sleep experiences. It's so frustrating. It's not so bad now that the kids are grown and Don is retired. I can have a nap if I really need one. So I don't get anxious about it. What really helps is if I wake Don up (poor guy) and he gives my back a rub, and I'm asleep in 5 minutes. lol I try not to do that very often. So did you get your rain? I think that's a good idea, to cut off your RR blooms if they're going to burn anyway. Be like Kentucky_rose...she cuts so many roses. :) :) That way you'll thwart the deer and get some wonderful perfume at the same time. :) :) I hope you get rain. And you sleep well, too. Nighty, night soonish.
It's been such a cool summer that my Perfume Factory has just given me its first blooms. They smell wonderful, but why did they have to wait so long. Sheesh!!
My Heavenly Scented, OTOH, has been blooming nonstop, and the blooms last such a long time...3 weeks? a month? This is Probably due to our cool weather. Here's a new bloom.
Anni - from A&A is still getting new blooms. Has a bit of rust, but I think it will be better next year.
Mary Pattison has opened a bit more. I love its color and look at those shiny leaves. :) :) Happy, happy. It has a strong scent of perfume.
Fashion Forward is still blooming. Wonderful fragrance!!
Purple Aura - this shows the true color. Lovely spice fragrance.

This is my tiny, own root Gabrial Oaks rose. It's doing very well, tiny though it may be. I have big hopes for this rose. :)
Carol, the rain was predicted to start around 11 pm and it has, though Jim would call it Idaho drizzle. As I've said, we measure rain in hundredths of an inch......Hardy hibiscus likes full sun to part sun from what I've read, but the same "authority" said it lives five years. What??? All my hibiscus are around 18 years old. Don't believe the experts about anything is my motto, whether it's roses and their size, or how long something lives. On to more fun topics. I see we are treated to more beautiful blooms. Wish I had some. Your first four photos are gorgeous, and maybe Anni and Perfume Factory have that lovely extra pretty look. The first photo of Perfume Factory looks like a queen surrounded by her ladies in waiting. Great photo. And Sweet Madame Blue is really an outstanding bloomer. The big bunches of blooms remind me of Wild Blue Yonder's way of blooming. SMB is stunning. Well, I'm going to check on the rain or drizzle. Sorry Heirloom only carries an Eisvogel hydrangea, which I thought was ironic. I can't win. Diane
