Mountain Modern Retreat | Park City, Utah
Conceived as a refined alpine escape, this residence combines two midrise units in Deer Valley into a cohesive, warm modern retreat. A bold palette of black, forest green, and sky blue is grounded by natural materials, creating a balance between sophistication and mountain ease.
A steel-and-glass staircase connects the two levels, unified through a restrained material language of black cabinetry, wide-plank cerused oak floors, and walnut slatted ceilings. Vertical walnut paneling introduces architectural rhythm and height, enhancing the sense of interior massing.
The kitchen is clean and minimal, with black perimeter cabinetry and leathered granite, allowing the island’s expressive stone to take focus. Below, an après-ski lounge offers a relaxed yet tailored setting with mohair seating and graphic leather wall panels.
Throughout, subtle references to the surrounding landscape emerge in sculptural lighting, organic forms, and curated furnishings—creating a space that feels both grounded in place and quietly elevated.
