Residential dwelling originally had brick veneer cladding which suffered major damage during the Canterbury earthquake sequences. The Owners choice was to lighten the weight of the structure, cedar weatherboards was chosen for the new cladding. The cladding was installed over new insulation and cavity battens to further reduce the chance of water ingress in latter years.
