Silver Ridge Kitchen & Family Room Remodel

Traditional Interior Remodel in Northwest Hills

The trend today is to do away with separate, small kitchen, dining and family rooms by tearing down and moving walls to give a big, open feel to the family gathering area. It then becomes a multi-use great room allowing families to gather together to cook, socialize and enjoy entertainment all in one space.

This Northwest Hills 1970′s home was converted from many small, separate spaces to one large, open multi-use room. The dining room is visually separated by a column, half wall and overhead beam defining the perimeter while still being connected to the family room.

The once tiny, crowded kitchen is now 12″ wider after the garage wall was moved. This allowed for a long kitchen island/bar to be added for plenty of prep area and a place for guests and family to gather. The kitchen renovation also included a new picture window opening up the view to the backyard, a wine fridge/pantry and georgeous Brazilian granite countertops.

A little innovation resulted in a total transformation of the look, feel, and functionality of this home.
