Hat tree

Our hall cupboard was full of coats, there wasn't room for a hat stand and the kids could never find their hats in the mornings. I had the idea, the kids drew dozens of designs, we shopped for hooks and my husband painted it and put up the hooks (which we scavenged from a ready made coat rack.) We're very proud of our hat tree.

The kids are keen to put blossoms on it in spring and birds - I'm plotting how to do this, perhaps vinyl stickers or they could draw pictures and I could laminate them - it would be good to change it with the seasons , maybe some Christmas decorations in December

I love it! Trees are a favorite theme for me and it's just plain fun to hang your hat in a tree.

I love that! It is so dang cute. Maybe some decals that you can reposition. Birds, flowers, changing with the seasons.

That is such a great idea and I love how you made it into a small family project and involved kids! Your tree reminded me of this idea of a wall tree with floating bookshelves I've always wanted to create:

It looks awesome. You can buy 3d wall decals in most craft stores, Target, or online.

I like that you painted the tree a light color rather than the traditional brown for trunk and branches. Very cute idea!

I love the fact you have the kids participate in the project.

VERY creative, useful and sophisticated as well! I like the subtlety of the trunk color against the lighter wall. Have you considered designing these as a PT job???
