There are many examples on houzz of contrasting counters for perimeter and island. For example butcher block on island and stone on perimeter or a solid color on one and something with movement on another. I would only mix two stones if one had movement and one was fairly solid. I love the color you have on the wall by the patio doors. I'd go with that all over if you want the space to feel warm. Or, if you want the rooms to feel cooler, you may want to go with sky blue or a calm green. The right shade of green brings in your outdoor plants, which looks very nice when you are looking out through the windows. Your flooring would look fine with any of these choices. Grey is another color to consider. I personally do not like it, yet is is quite popular now, especially with contemporary interiors.

Textured linen or with a subtle print wont date. Feature walls make a room smaller as they jump out ar you. Wouldnt recommend. Get some interesting art or craft. Pick up colour with accesories

900 wide freestanding oven. sink plumbed by window, like an island bench with space for family to use kitchen around it. Would have loved more of a pantry but just doesn't seem to fit with the doors and the ranchslider to back yard. Have we done the best?
