Primrose (yellowish) window frames

My house has primrose window frames and sliding doors. I would like to paint the interior of the house. What colour to paint the window architrave/sliding doors architraves and walls to match the primrose colour frame. Some online websites suggest Dulux Chalk USA for the architraves to tone done the primrose. What about the wall colour. Hoping to paint the walls something other than off whites or creams (which is the current colour). Please advise.

I think you can paint walls any colour so long as you get the architrave colour right

White is always good with cream/yellow, more info/photos including flooring, furniture would be a big help

I have chalk USA on my walls with white architraves. I agree that it would co-ordinate with the primrose windows. I have seen a house with full strength trims and half strength walls. Depends what look you want.

What about this for your walls? I think painting architraves and skirting white is ideal.

    It's Primrose.

Thanks everyone for comments. More info - most of the furniture is wood - dark brown/chocolate colour.

How did you go with final colours? I’m in same boat!

I don’t know whether you have done your painting or not but with your dark furniture and existing windows I would paint walls light warm grey and 150% strength same grey colour on the architrave .something different and grey , yellow and brown look good together.

I have primrose window frames and getting a security screen on front door but don’t want primrose for border. The screen will look black. I have done the door in the cozy corner grey which you won’t see for the black screen in front of it. I have white shutters on The window beside the door. I’m not sure whether to do the frames in white or a lightish grey similar to the door.

If you won’t see the door at the same time as the frames then don’t match a colour to it. Do you have a pic? What are the other colours in the facade? Without more info I’d match the frame to the security door.

I haven’t got the security door yet and the door hasn’t been painted but it won’t be visible behind the security screen door Just the screen door border is all I’m trying to decide on before having it made up. It’s close to the primrose window frames. The windows have white shutters

The whole front door can be diff to the windows. Perhaps make it all black.

I’m still tossing up between cozy corner grey, the same as my door or white for the frame of the security door. Any advice? The door won’t be seen from the outside, only the black screen and frame

Go black on the screen frame to match the mesh colour. White will scream at you and not tie lin with anything

Therefore I should go cozy corner grey as I would be introducing another colour to the whole picture. My shutters are white beside the front door with the primrose frame

Keep the security door frame the white. You have way too many colours going on already. Maybe paint the terracotta gutters and fascia white as well, if you are not changing the window frames. Also, Plant a couple of shrubs in the stones. Even the colour of your down pipe would be good for gutters, fascia’s, security door frame.
