I just think it needs more bright white trim around the windows and the fence painted also white. Going round to the back addition, I would paint the timber boards the color of the stucco, trim white and get some great deck furniture and lighting.

Hi again- I have been looking at Benjamin Moores colors and have chosen a few you might look at. My technique for color choices is to buy several large sheets of MDF from the hardware and several paint samples that I think will work. Grab a plain white sample pot as well and just play with colors; if what you thought looked good in the shop and doesn't look good in reality, just add a bit of the white to lighten it and use the darker tones to deepen. Once you've found the color you like paint it on one of the large MDF sheets and live with it for a day or two and see how it looks morning,night, south side of building,northside of building. If the color that you like is one that you've mixed yourself, just go back to the paintshop as I'm sure B Moore would have the right shade so you can match it. Do you know the color name of the roofing? Is it IRONSTONE or MONUMENT? I'd be tempted to use that same color for the windows. My personal trick for contrast and trims is to take the main color and ask paint shop to make it up in 1/4 strength even lighter if need be. Good luck and post pictures when it's finished.

There's a few but Google Sketchup is probably the most available. The thing is, you'd be better off dealing with your architect for this because they would be better to tell you what materials are actually practical, they would know costs, installation times, etc. For example you might not be able to do a lot of masonry in heavy seismic zones and certain other types of cladding may require thicker foundation, etc. Not only that there are a myriad of different ways to stucco a home and so forth. I mean you could use Sketchup to mockup some ideas, but this is work that is honestly best done in concert with an experienced professional.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely try to attach rounded tiles where I can to make it more Spanish. Also love the idea of attaching Spanish style tiles to fronts of steps etc. I will definitely do bright contrasting front door, and I really like the window flowers idea to break up all the walls. Landscaping is my strength, so got that sorted, and will begin that first. There is too much focus currently on parking spaces, and not enough on outdoor living. What do you guys think of this colour. I am happy to paint over the aluminium windows with whatever colour would suit best. Thanks very much.
