Kitchens Lighting Renovating

KITCHEN LIGHTING PLEASE HELP

Hi all, I am trying to choose some lighting for my kitchen and I am finding it very difficult. The 1st photo is 2 of the 4 that we had with the cover down. We are having a painter repaint the whole ceiling so I need to choose fast. The others are 2 we have those may look good or we just go for down lights.

Unfortunately when we took them off they are all batons too which are hard to replace as that’s the old way of doing them.

I have been to beacon and they basically say you can just choose what you think. This is clearly not my thing.

I would really appreciate some honest assistance.

The black, white and grey pendants look good. I don't like the downlights at all.

Any other lights that you like at Beacon? They have some lovely lights.

I cant decide what kind of splashback should i use for my kitchen. We are currently upgrading our kitchen for the first time. I am planning on renovating my apartment's turn of the century kitchen. I was hoping to add cupboards above my hob and cover in the rangehood. However, there is a duct to the left of the rangehood (under the bulkhead) that can't be covered over for fire/safety reasons. I would really appreciate ideas about what might be possible, given those limitations. Many thanks.

I love strip lighting, your electrician could do this without too much disruption to the ceiling.

While you are doing the kitchen lights, I would suggest replacing the living room light too. You could find something more attractive than what you have there now.

Yes good call on the actually! Any suggestions on what I could put that complements each other in the kitchen and living are?

I tend to agree with Julie regarding the strip lighting - you may even be able use the L shape layout of your bench as inspiration to get 2 lights that intersect above the benches, one below the other

Thanks I think at the end of it I am just going for all downlights as we are selling it so not everyone will love our taste in downlights. It’s tricky isn’t it
