Hi all, my family inherited this apple tree when we bought our current house. The tree is obviously badly pruned and recently ive noticed the differences in the colour of the flowers. Then it hit me that one of them might be the root stock! Should I remove all suckers immediately? They are quite big and i don't want to harm the tree. They've been there for a while so i cant see the graft clearly. The main trunk has pink flowers and the smaller branches have white flowers.

I am no expert but I think you are quite right. Any growth below the graft needs to be removed.
