We were meant to have a deck built from Kwila but the builder has used Garapa instead. He said it is better than kwila because it doesn't bleed.

Is this true? Is Garapa better or comparable to kwila? I've never heard of Garapa wood. Or is builder trying to get away with not using kwila (as kwila is what was priced in our contract).
