Personally , I wouldn't use that wallpaper -- it doesn't suit the apartment style IMO . I assume she wanted to add some focus and colour , but to me it doesn't work . To make it work ( or at least not 'jar' ) if she does insist on the wallpaper , pick out the burgundy or red of the wattle flower ( or whatever it is ) , and do a wall opposite it in that exact same shade , or maybe the kitchen area if you have good masking skills . The animal skin rugs look great , but the couch is 'lost' -- add cushions in the same red or burgundy as the wall , or go even brighter red or burgundy . Rest of the walls can be left as they are ( depending on wall condition ) or any similar neutral ( aka bland ) grey or cream , or possibly even a light steel blue .

I have to ask, do you really need that bath when you have such a tight space? Unless you have tiny children (and remember that's a temporary situation!,) I suggest a larger walk in shower e.g. 1200 x 800 and heated towel rail on the wall nearer the window so its more convenient. Would definitely keep the double vanity for those busy mornings with storage under and you could add mirror fronted cabinet recessed into the wall above the basins to add more storage. Sorry the main bathroom (beside the lounge area). I have the ensuite sorted. We'd like a bath in the main bathroom, shower, toilet and vanity. Ideally I don't want the toilet on the wall that separates the bathroom and lounge....bit uncomfortable for guests going loo when we are in the lounge watching TV!

Hi Oliver, not sure if you are still after some ideas or not. I would paint the concrete steps a neutral medium grey and the front door a reasonably bold colour of your choice that fits in with the 'Deco' style of your house. Maybe a bold blue or green could work. Alternatively, if it fits with other detailing around the house, paint the steps a deep terracotta/brick colour and the front door a darker deep colour of smokey blue or keep it black.
