Like your space and choice of green. Like the green in the kitchen you referred us to. Looks a little darker or less yellow than one you did with Photoshop? You have the same issue as many of us, for one reason or another we end up trying to blend two disparate styles. The couches say man's room, formal, brown wood to me. Your room, kitchen and fireplace say much lighter in colors , style and spirit! If you try to blend the two you will end up with neither. Your purchases to go with the couches will just add to things pushing you in a direction you don't appear to want to go! I'd suggest you find some sofa covers, or even bed coverlets if you can't get covers to put over the couches. I like the colors in the fireplace. Please tell us more about what styles you like.

Great space, love the room.. Have you ever considered painting the ceiling in a fun, vibrant color? Might be just the thing you need to brighten up the space. The room itself is nicely done , but let down by the furniture IMO . The prints all add interest too , and the curtains are drab , but liveable . That rug is a crime scene though -- it may have been on trend when bought , but looks faded now , even though I assume it isn't . Enquire into the cost of dying it -- maybe even try and do it yourself , but I'd be worried it would cost at least $100 for materials and not achieve much . A new one in bright red or teal or even yellow would add some wow . And get rid of the coffee table -- so 70's ! Imagine one in gloss white with smoked glass top or similar to replace it . And the lounge suite is similarly a 'nothing' -- imagine a blood red or white leather suite . White leather would probably match the swivel chair and stool , while I love red leather , but you'd pretty much have to go with a bright red mat , whereas white you'd have more options . The wall unit and TV stand are pleasant enough , and an upmarket , colourful mat and red or white lounge suite would lift the cabinets , and tie in with the prints too .

I'd love help picking a couch and rug color for our living room! As much as we would love white, it's a high traffic area with kids so we're leaning toward gray but I'm not sure what color rug would go with that... Also light gray or dark gray? Any help would be appreciated!
