Are you having any outdoor lighting? What colour and materials will the letter box be? Will there be any metal in the landscaping? Any outdoor furniture visible in front? Have a think about the whole front area and facade. And then make your choice. Every material and colour needs a friend in the design.

what tiles on verandah will be part of style. Don’t discount black. It just needs to be referenced elsewhere. This could be letterbox, tiles, pots.

Thank you Bigreader. You have a great point. We have provisioned for 4 exterior lights on the face brick as well as 2 ceiling lights under the porch entry area.

Landscaping is next on our list of post build requirements but we don't have any plans or ideas at this stage.

My husband plans on a metal letterbox as we have done so in the past, if we incorporate that along with the monument coloured roof, garage and downpipes, do you think it's better to keep it to a darker colour?

On a separate dilemma, I was made aware today that my door profile, whilst looks nice, the placement of the hardware will be limited as the surface width between the glass reveal and the door edge is quite narrow and I'll need to install the pull handle on the left of the reveal :/

Thanks Kate, the black does make sense - our veranda is a creamy grey colour with off white grout line.

What colour and style are the lights on the face bricks? Re the handle placement dilemma, that is a bit odd and does influence colour. I would go with a brushed brass handle with similar tones to the door. I like the idea of black but with all the Monument it may be too much. See if you can get the lights and door handle to be similar in some way.
