SYH: 800 Basement
SG: Think I would prefer wood for a softer look. Don't love the detachable ottomans. SY: this might be a viable coffee table alternative at the tv, too - 42" rather than the 48" of Surface. Also B&B Italia - the Area by Paolo Piva. All sorts of finishes, as you can imagine, for top, legs & ottoman.
SY: this particular variant is 5' square, and we want 3-4' square. But there is a 4' square configuration. SG: Yes. This is solid choice. SY: this is one of loads of possible configurations for the Surface table by Vincent Van Duysen for B&B Italia. Not in these finishes, but do you like the general effect? For basement tv area coffee table.
SG: Gorgeous. Love the leather trim. SY: this is gorgeous, good dimensions as is, though made to order so could be a bit longer too, and the leather at the back and inside can be customized - to the teal I was hoping! then it would be the perfect desk. They might even stain it black for me, which would be even better. (The truth is we could do it just as shown, with a teal chair.)
SY: perfect for the occasional side chair that can be pulled up to the tulip table in the west end of the basement. wegner pp52 chair - meets my light wood and dark seat requirement, and something interesting/beautiful/sculptural. unclear if it's a pair, but I am SURE we can find a place for the second.
SG: Ok. I am not wedded to the Como. I am also. not wedded to sectional sofa if you feel the space gets too tight. SY: This really feels like a max size once I was standing in the space again. Worried about the very slightly larger (125”) Como, though could do the Como with the chaise, and perhaps two chaises instead of the Eames. Working on getting good headspace above the eames under the stairs - to get it, we may need to shorten the sectional. SG: And we could soften it up with lots of pillows SY: agree. might be a good in between kelston & emmy SG: This nice. Very clean lines. SY: Franco could be a nice sectional alternative from MGBW. 120w x 120d
