Like combo of gray's, white, & beige's (light brown family) with a combo of matte and "shiny"/pearled look behind vent hood. Don't think I'd want this through the whole kitchen as back splash, but rather as a focal point.

Open to idea of stone/brick backsplash and tying in the stone into the fireplace. Cost will be a key factor on whether we use in either kitchen or great room fireplace.
