3-10", spread 1-2 ft; spills in containers; (Sedum) Sedum 'Lemon Coral' Is a great filler and spiller with its spikey green foliage. With its drought and heat tolerance, 'Lemon Coral' makes for a great plant that can take a little neglect once established. Sedum 'Lemon Coral' works great in full sun to part shade locations and is low maintenance.
Electric Lime Heuchera is a bright shade loving plant. In cool temperatures, this Electric Lime Coral Bells has red veins on the neon lime green leaves. A larger growing heuchera, the Electric Lime mounded shape produces beautiful white flowers. The Electric Lime Heuchera grows in shade up to 12 inches tall with a mounded spread of up to 28 inches wide.Tolerates heat and humidity. Electric Lime Heuchera PP21872 PVR.
side yard maybe? part shade---Heuchera ‘Georgia Peach’: Terra Nova Nurseries: ‘Georgia Peach’ came along. We have evaluated it for nearly three years and it has risen to the top of the heuchera basket. Everyone comments on it in the spring, it is reasonably handsome in the summer, and if temperatures don’t get too cold and there is not a foot of snow, it can look very good in winter. Regardless, in the pot, there is a shopper-stopper. Congratulations to Terra Nova. @ Wayside
Sedum ‘Lemon Ball’: What a wonderful surprise this turned out to be. In the garden, they simply grew bigger and produced a round shimmering ball of leaves that became a 55-mph plant. Flowers formed but are definitely secondary. I am not sure of the breeder; we obtained plants from James Greenhouse, Bogart, GA. and they are part of the Treadwell Program from Perennial Farm, MD.
partial shade--My favorite juniper is undoubtedly the Golden Pacific juniper (J. conferta ‘Golden Pacific’, zones 6 to 9). It grows to a height of 1 foot and spreads 5 feet. Unlike many junipers it tolerates partial shade, adding a much-needed punch of color to a shadier corner of the garden. Additionally, it is probably the juniper with the softest foliage.
maybe front west Japanese garden juniper (J. procumbens ‘Nana’, zones 4 to 9) isan old standby that is gaining new popularity, and rightfully so. Well known byAsian gardeners and bonsai enthusiasts, this juniper attains an average heightof 1 foot, which makes it useful at the front of the border, creeping over lowboulders or cascading over a stacked stone wall. Its bluish tint adds a richlayer of interest to rock gardens and decorative pots.
