Notes: Kitchen
1. Stove, sink, and dishwasher stay on the same side of the gallery
2. Refrigerator: I have decided to buy a regular top-freezer refrigerator. The refrigerator will be placed in the same location as the current one. I know this is not ideal, but a compromise. I choose the regular refrigerator because I just need a medium one (18.2 cubic feet). Here is a GE refrigerator which is on my short list.

3. The color of the appliance (refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher) is white.
4. I noticed that microwave in my current apartment has vent underneath it. So, in terms of the microwave at 4707, I will put the microwave above the range, because I don't want to install a hood. Therefore, I will no longer put the microwave on the shelf.
5. Will keep the service door accessible
6. Dishwasher: three-rack Bosch
7. Sink: single sick; under-mounted; install soap holder and/or hand soap holder. I heard that the standard sink is 30" so I just need a standard one (30"). Use sheets to protect cabinet under the sink from water?
8. Faucet: shape preference (simple, yet elegant); integrated with water filter (cold water only, don't need hot water).
9. Stove: can and will use gas stove; Range, with microwave above it (the color will be white).
10. Should have enough space between stove and wall (18" cabinet)
11. Electricity panel: paint it so that it's color is the same as the wall color (after receiving the building's permission). Inside the panel, label breakers to make it easier to find.
12. Pantry: regular shelves (not pull-out shelves)
13. Cabinet: built-in space for garbage bin, small appliances (hot pot, and nut grinder are the two important items; see the attached photos), vacuum cleaner, and broom; should have space for my cookbooks (see the photo)
14. When I use the rice cooker, steam will come out of it. So, I am not sure whether I can put it in the cabinet. Or, should I just leave it as it is now? (see the photo)
15. Cabinet: prefer stock items, to semi-custom items, to custom items.
16. Outlet: under the cabinet; refrigerator and microwave should have their own outlets; built-in outlets for small appliances
17. Countertop: I don't like grantie. Probably will go with quartz (see the photo)
18. Where should I shop cabinets and countertop?
19. Refrigerator: have water dispenser? If so, need to install a pipe under the floor
20. Breakfast room: take out the ceiling fan
21. Lighting: recessed light? Lower the ceiling to install recessed light? (hesitant)
22. Currently, the dining table is 46"*46".
23. Need to have a hook in the kitchen or another way to hang the towel; otherwise, I will hang the towel at the refrigerator (see the photos)
24. Add a paper towel rack on the wall or beneath the cabinet? Currently, the paper towel rack occupies countertop space (see the photo). I would like to save the countertop space.
25. I don't think I have enough stuff to put into kitchen cabinets. But, I think the closet space in the bedroom is not enough for me. So, I may put some off-season clothes in the kitchen cabinet/closet near the service door.
26. For cabinet door, I prefer European style (frameless) to American style (that has frames)
27. For kitchen floor, I am inclined to use porcelain (man made tile).
