Bookshelves don't build into the vault. I don't mind the "triangles".
Use the whole vault.
Create area above FP for either art or TV (TV is not for us, but the people who buy the place after we're dead might like it).
Build out to end of hearth.
Bookshelves in room with vaulted ceiling and beams (beams run opposite of ours).
We could build over the windows (including vaulting). Library ladder would be tough, but we could get one of those 3 step things...
Leaving some room on both sides of FP makes it seem less "lost".

Books on FP wall; seating area in front of fire; windows where we have windows.
Floor to ceiling with vaulted ceiling and beams.
Another example of along side, but not over. In this one the FP doesn't seem as "lost".
I think the FP kind of gets lost when you build out on both sides, but not over.
Maybe on odd look, but relevant - bookshelf along FP with hearth in room with vaulted ceiling.
Lower bookshelves to allow room for art.
Another way to deal with furniture - books on walls and furniture grouping in the middle.
Possible to rearrange existing furniture to books on sofa wall and FP wall.
Books on both sides, but not over FP
Go around corner - sofa wall to fireplace wall
Get rid of hearth and build around and above fireplace
