If the (now t.v.) wall between the current dining and t.v. rooms were made much smaller, & a passageway were opened past the 2d front entrance to the front dining room area & front door.

Imagine those french doors are, instead, floor to ceiling windows in the t.v. room. This is what the space would feel like w a sectional facing the fireplace.
