I yearn for a creative space. Or just space that doesn’t have dogs and a husband in it. I need a zen space. Nearly empty. Good light. A comfortable chair or sofa. A desk with a large surface area. One large storage unit with doors, to cover any clutter. A handwoven rug. And that’s it. Bliss.

Actually these are not new concepts to those of us who are inspired by creative spaces but its great that someone has compiled the ideas. Color is most important (love the reference to white walls), and that is why I will never incorporate either it or grey into my color scheme....unless it's a bluish grey. Colors found in nature are truly the key to a warm home. In the 80's had done my living room in pinkish/rose tones and everyone who visited commented on the calming effect in the room. I love the influence of color as well as using decor that invokes feelings rather than what is trendy.

Also love the reference to the shower. Always get my inspired revelations there and believe its because of water which invokes fluidity in our thinking since it flows endlessly with no stop and start. Our creativity is spurred on by the natural elements made by the creative God who made us. Incorporate them into your home and they will be mind altering.
