2013 Castle Educational Home Tour
The kitchen of this 1947 South Minneapolis home saw a major transformation. What
used to be an unfunctional kitchen is now an effective space with ample storage
and counter space. Previously, the space felt outdated with little color to be found.
Now the space is bright with a beatuiful Colbalt tile backsplash, white cabinetry and
black laminate countertops. Unique features inlcude open shelving, compost, a sink
tip-out, and an eat-in kitchennette area. The duo-toned grey checkboard floor adds
dimension without being overhelming and ties the overall room together.
