Astrid Sauna Loungers

Tasked to create a a pair of contemporary lounger chairs, with footrests, for a home sauna, these chairs had to maximise comfort in the available space. Using a full size mock up as a starting point, then tweaking angles using 3D software, we were able to incorporate a generous angled footrest and seat area with an ergonomically sloping backrest. The use of quarter sawn hardwood, a slatted design and many coats of protective wax-oil finish were used to suit the steamy environment.
