Setting house back within the hillside required extensive concrete retaining wall. The wall was formed with alternating wood boards which remain visually in graining and linear pattern. Reclaimed wood (horizontal) is dubbed “mushroom” wood (cypress planks from PA mushroom barns). Reclaimed wood (vertical) is local barn board. Both sourced through antiqueandvintagewoods.com
