Behind the rolling hills of Arthurs Seat sits “The Farm”, a coastal getaway and future permanent residence for our clients. The modest three bedroom brick home will be renovated and a substantial extension added. The footprint of the extension re-aligns to face the beautiful landscape of the western valley and dam. The new living and dining rooms open onto an entertaining terrace. The distinct roof form of valleys and ridges relate in level to the existing roof for continuation of scale. The new roof cantilevers beyond the extension walls creating emphasis and direction towards the natural views.

A full renovation of a dated but expansive family home, including bespoke staircase repositioning, entertainment living and bar, updated pool and spa facilities and surroundings and a repositioning and execution of a new sunken dining room to accommodate a formal sitting room.

Though partially below grade, there is no shortage of natural light beaming through the large windows in this space. Sofas by Vanguard; pillow wools by Style Library / Morris & Co.

In the great room, special attention was paid to the ceiling detail, where square box beams “picture frame” painted wooden planks, creating interest and subtle contrast. A custom built-in flanks the right side of the fireplace and includes a television cabinet as well as wood storage.

The clients had an unused swimming pool room which doubled up as a gym. They wanted a complete overhaul of the room to create a sports bar/games room. We wanted to create a space that felt like a London members club, dark and atmospheric. We opted for dark navy panelled walls and wallpapered ceiling. A beautiful black parquet floor was installed. Lighting was key in this space. We created a large neon sign as the focal point and added striking Buster and Punch pendant lights to create a visual room divider. The result was a room the clients are proud to say is "instagramable"

We took advantage of the double volume ceiling height in the living room and added millwork to the stone fireplace, a reclaimed wood beam and a gorgeous, chandelier. The sliding doors lead out to the sundeck and the lake beyond. TV's mounted above fireplaces tend to be a little high for comfortable viewing from the sofa, so this tv is mounted on a pull down bracket for use when the fireplace is not turned on. Floating white oak shelves replaced upper cabinets above the bar area.

In the divide between the kitchen and family room, we built storage into the buffet. We applied moulding to the columns for an updated and clean look. Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA. Blue, white and gold are the palette of this transitional design. With custom touches and an emphasis on flow and an open floor plan, the renovation included the kitchen, family room, butler’s pantry, mudroom, two powder rooms and floors. Who wouldn’t want to relax in this family room? To brighten this formally dark room, we painted the wood trim white, which really highlighted the huge circle top window and French doors and added shiplap to the ceiling. The new red oak floor adds even more warmth and luxury to the space. This farmhouse style home in West Chester is the epitome of warmth and welcoming. We transformed this house’s original dark interior into a light, bright sanctuary. From installing brand new red oak flooring throughout the first floor to adding horizontal shiplap to the ceiling in the family room, we really enjoyed working with the homeowners on every aspect of each room. A special feature is the coffered ceiling in the dining room. We recessed the chandelier directly into the beams, for a clean, seamless look. We maximized the space in the white and chrome galley kitchen by installing a lot of custom storage. The pops of blue throughout the first floor give these room a modern touch.
