Cuckoo Clock House

Cuckoo House is a new build currently under construction in Footscray. The original dwelling was an old Edwardian, and, despite being much loved by the owners, the logistics of building a rear extension made it impossible to retain. accordingly, we decided to retain the Edwardian character of Cuckoo House by introducing a modern design to the existing building footprint. The new verandah pays respect to the original verandah by servicing the original function, but stands proud like a Japanese Torii
