Fun fusion of desert style into a hip cocktail lounge and ramen bar in a beautiful British Columbia setting. We took an unconventional twist on patio decor by planting with perennials & mixing in house plants instead of the usual summer annuals used frequently here in Canada.

1st Finnish Ripavi Sauna delivered to the US as a pre-fab, self-leveling unit. Crane lowered over the garage and into this cozy, mosaic bluestone courtyard with granite curb to step the grades. Includes an electric heater, outdoor shower, and custom privacy fence/wall combination.

This compact, urban backyard was in desperate need of privacy. We created a series of outdoor rooms, privacy screens, and lush plantings all with an Asian-inspired design sense. Elements include a covered outdoor lounge room, sun decks, rock gardens, shade garden, evergreen plant screens, and raised boardwalk to connect the various outdoor spaces. The finished space feels like a true backyard oasis.

The backyard is small and uninviting until we transformed it into a comfortable and functional area for entertaining. The front yard was leveled and converted into a play area for small children and two large dogs.
Amber Freda Garden Design
This TriBeCa roof garden design includes low-maintenance greenroof trays, a metal pergola, and lush plantings in black fiberglass planters. We also included a brown bamboo fence to help cover a less attractive existing fence. Plantings include white birch trees, blue junipers, variegated euonymus, ornamental grasses, Knockout roses, gold mop cyresses, boxwoods, dwarf pines, and purple and chartreuse heuchera. All of the planters are watered via an automated drip irrigation system. We also included up-lighting in the planters that is controlled on an automated timer.
