this shot is from the other corner of the kitchen. The island has a lot of function: linen storage, trash to left of sink, sink, dishwasher and microwave drawer. we utilized the far corner for display and serving piece storage. The hutch was specifically designed to serve as a buffet/desert area when entertaining. Island countertop is Mesquite 3cm granite installed as a 6cm dupont step squared eased edge.
