Killarney Heights

The client's request was to have a stylish, functional, and inviting semi-formal living room, casual living zone, and study that would be suitable for a busy family. The transformation of the existing semi-formal living room resulted in a warm, contemporary space perfect for entertaining guests. The design incorporated neutral tones and natural textures, which were contrasted by the rich, dark walnut veneer joinery that cleverly concealed additional storage space. To complement the existing travertine floor, warm finishes were added, including a deep kingfisher-blue rug, woven linen sofas, and fresh contemporary artwork. All these elements were combined to create a layered, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere. The office was designed to have a hero feature - the grasscloth wallpaper. This element framed the expansive walnut veneer joinery and the solid ash upholstered fabric and leather armchair. It provided comfort and ample room for the space to be used as a home office.
