The Artscut Royal Calacatta Gold quartz 30mm worktops exude luxury, offering a durable and stunning surface for cooking and preparing meals. Paired with a Schock sink and a Quooker tap, this kitchen becomes a room full of efficiency – where meal preparation and clean-up are easier and more enjoyable. In collaboration with DeLuna Designs, Shanae Mobley of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Springfield, VA designed a transitional two-finish kitchen remodel featuring Merillat Classic and Masterpiece cabinetry. The perimeter cabinets are Merillat Classic in the Portrait 5-piece door style in the Cotton finish, paired with Merillat Masterpiece island cabinets in the Martel door style in Rustic Alder with a Husk finish. Details like the dainty backsplash, rounded oven hood, suspended lanterns, and royal blue oven bring the kitchen to life.

In the original kitchen valuable counter space was taken up by small appliances. Out of the way of the main work zones, small appliances are now consolidated into one space and concealed behind bifold doors for easy access at countertop height.

The catering kitchen was completely transformed by removing the 'mudroom' area to create room for a large prep, storage, and cooking areas. The new space is hosts a custom Cremone-bolted dish cabinet, wine cooler, and double panel fridge /freezer. It has a large farmhouse sink and plenty of storage for prepping for large catering events and parties.

The design brief for this project was to create a kitchen befitting an English country cottage. Denim beadboard cabinetry, aged tile, and natural stone countertops provide the feel of timelessness, while the antiqued bronze fixtures and decorative vent hood deliver a sense of bespoke craftsmanship. Efficient use of space planning creates a kitchen that packs a powerful punch into a small footprint. The end result was everything the client hoped for and more, giving them the cottage kitchen of their dreams!
