Per esaltarne la grafica e dare ancora più profondità al soggetto abbiamo incorniciato le due pareti partendo dallo spessore del pilastro centrale ed utilizzando un coloro scuro. The original living room had a bulky media station with an off-center fireplace. To restore balance to the room, we shifted the fireplace under the television and covered it in glass so it can be seen from the kitchen. Adjacent to the fireplace, we added lots of storage with large push drawers able to conceal any mess. With the extra space between the built-ins and the wall, we decided to add a cute little reading nook with some fun lighting. Most of all, our clients wanted their remodeled lake house to feel cozy, so we installed a few ceiling beams for some rustic charm. The living room is an irregular shape, so we had to get creative with the furniture. We used their sofa that they loved and added a sleek side chair that we placed in the corner surrounded by windows.

This is the informal den or family room of the home. Slipcovers were used on the lighter colored items to keep everything washable and easy to maintain. Coffee tables were replaced with two oversized tufted ottomans in dark gray which sit on a custom made beige and cream zebra pattern rug. The lilac and white wallpaper was carried to this room from the adjacent kitchen. Dramatic linen window treatments were hung on oversized black wood rods, giving the room height and importance.

This 4,500 sq ft basement in Long Island is high on luxe, style, and fun. It has a full gym, golf simulator, arcade room, home theater, bar, full bath, storage, and an entry mud area. The palette is tight with a wood tile pattern to define areas and keep the space integrated. We used an open floor plan but still kept each space defined. The golf simulator ceiling is deep blue to simulate the night sky. It works with the room/doors that are integrated into the paneling — on shiplap and blue. We also added lights on the shuffleboard and integrated inset gym mirrors into the shiplap. We integrated ductwork and HVAC into the columns and ceiling, a brass foot rail at the bar, and pop-up chargers and a USB in the theater and the bar. The center arm of the theater seats can be raised for cuddling. LED lights have been added to the stone at the threshold of the arcade, and the games in the arcade are turned on with a light switch. --- Project designed by Long Island interior design studio Annette Jaffe Interiors. An eclectic, modern media room with bold accents of black metals, natural woods, and terra cotta tile floors. We wanted to design a fresh and modern hangout spot for these clients, whether they’re hosting friends or watching the game, this entertainment room had to fit every occasion. We designed a full home bar, which looks dashing right next to the wooden accent wall and foosball table. The sitting area is full of luxe seating, with a large gray sofa and warm brown leather arm chairs. Additional seating was snuck in via black metal chairs that fit seamlessly into the built-in desk and sideboard table (behind the sofa).... In total, there is plenty of seats for a large party, which is exactly what our client needed. Lastly, we updated the french doors with a chic, modern black trim, a small detail that offered an instant pick-me-up. The black trim also looks effortless against the black accents. Designed by Sara Barney’s BANDD DESIGN, who are based in Austin, Texas and serving throughout Round Rock, Lake Travis, West Lake Hills, and Tarrytown. Dramatic framework forms a matrix focal point over this North Scottsdale home's back patio and negative edge pool, underlining the architect's trademark use of symmetry to draw the eye through the house and out to the stunning views of the Valley beyond. This almost 9000 SF hillside hideaway is an effortless blend of Old World charm with contemporary style and amenities. Organic colors and rustic finishes connect the space with its desert surroundings. Large glass walls topped with clerestory windows that retract into the walls open the main living space to the outdoors.
