Los Altos Hills Home Rebuilt

Like many 60s California ranches, this home had an unused front patio of aggregate slabs. Instead we created an outdoor living room that offers flexibility of use. Here you see the view as you enter into the home. Features that required our expertise center around the roof join between the main house and the new arched roof for the outdoor family room. Designs details suggested by Flegels include the flat threshold from the interior into the outdoor room. No step down allows for true indoor-outdoor living when the 15' Nanawall door to the kitchen is opened all the way. Smooth stucco adds to the image of an indoor space. The custom-made front door is cherry wood. The floor is made from stamped green concrete tiles. The mesh walls are actually waterwalls made from the same green concrete.
