Lounge-based Cinema

Originally a second TV room, whose shape and marble floor made it harsh and echoey (we say reverberant), we tempered the space allowing the kit to really perform. We built a custom screen to house front speakers and created a massive black velvet border to ensure the screen image really popped. The ceiling was acoustically treated and four ATMOS speakers installed; we fabric-stretched the ceiling and back wall. Black-out blinds in the windows and glazed doors were automated for ease of operation. We installed a 7.2.4 ATMOS system with two Monitor Audio Silver 12” subwoofers, Monitor Audio’s superb Ribbon tweeter CP-IW460x for the three fronts and Soundstage 2 on walls to the rear. Control4 control system made operation simple. The result? A turnkey solution from The Big Picture where we undertook strip-out, low voltage and mains rewiring, remedials, acoustics, lighting, LED strip, fabrics, painting, decorating, blinds and all of the obvious AV and home cinema equipment installation/programming with seating supplied too. #homecinema #hometheater #homemovietheater #interiordesign #movienight
