The massing is kept simple and straight-forward, maintaining the surrounding rowhouse residential scale. The unique hillside site allows for a break from the rowhouse typology of the street, providing an opportunity to step outside the mold of the typical rowhouse with a new modern interpretation of a Lawrenceville home. The exterior materials are a direct reflection of the dichotomy of the industrial heritage and the residential nature of the building. Corrugated metal, balanced with the warmth and softness of cedar siding used to emphasize the vertical circulation of the home. Red accents of cement board and steel elements bring a modern touch to the building exterior. Photos: Jason Snyder
