Due to the extended length of the pool and the steep slope of the block a foundation support system was necessary to ensure that the pool would be founded in a stable geological profile. An extensive 40 linear metre network of bored piers were constructed to ensure that natural ground movement would not cause the pool shell to shift and crack.
