Open plan living room

This open plan living room was designed for our client who was an older single (widowed) woman and was very keen that her new home felt instantly warm and welcoming for herself and her visitors. Design inspiration can come from many places. Our client loved the dusky, warm hues of dried hydrangeas so we used this as our starting point. We created a feature wall using wallpaper from Sandersons and painted the walls in Farrow & Ball's Skimming Stone. This console table housed a selection of books and personal affects as well as doubling up as a media unit for her television.
