The original bathroom needed to be completely replaced but at the best possible price whilst keeping it attractive and relative to the period of the house (1920's). Although small, we aimed to make it feel open and keep as much light coming in as possible by installing a frameless shower screen. Keeping the plumbing in the original place kept costs down. The feature tile strip was placed at the same height as a discovered decorative strip underneath the old tiles, that would have been in the original house. Still needs a bit more work, the ceilings are quite high, tiling up to the top of the shower kept costs down, and gives us the opportunity to paint above the tile later. Photography by Ashlee Hall
