Finishes of handmade clay herringbone tiles, raw rendered walls and marbled surfaces adds texture to the bathroom renovation.

Kitchen Design ConceptsThis home was a complete gut, so it got a major face-lift in each room. In the powder and hall baths, we decided to try to make a huge impact in these smaller spaces, and so guests get a sense of "wow" when they need to wash up!
Powder Bath:
The freestanding sink basin is from Stone Forest, Harbor Basin with Carrara Marble and the console base is Palmer Industries Jamestown in satin brass with a glass shelf. The faucet is from Newport Brass and is their wall mount Jacobean in satin brass. With the small space, we installed the Toto Eco Supreme One-Piece round bowl, which was a huge floor space saver. Accessories are from the Newport Brass Aylesbury collection.
Hall Bath:
The vanity and floating shelves are from WW Woods Shiloh Cabinetry, Poplar wood with their Cadet stain which is a gorgeous blue-hued gray. Plumbing products - the faucet and shower fixtures - are from the Brizo Rook collection in chrome, with accessories to match. The commode is a Toto Drake II 2-piece. Toto was also used for the sink, which sits in a Caesarstone Pure White quartz countertop.
Judith Wright DesignCreating a vanity from an antique chest keeps the vintage charm of the home intact.
Shmik InteriorsThe existing cabinetry doors were removed and new doors in Laminex 'Natural Teak' were installed. They conceal storage for cleaning products, brooms and vaccum cleaner. A new toilet with a concealed cistern was also fitted into this wall. A slmple, slimline basin and vanity was a space saving selection, which also offered storage. A laundry stack sits to the right of the basin (out of shot of the photo). Gunmetal cistern buttons and tap added extra luxury to this small space.
Alexander KitchensCloakroom Bathroom in Storrington, West Sussex
Plenty of stylish elements combine in this compact cloakroom, which utilises a unique tile choice and designer wallpaper option.
The Brief
This client wanted to create a unique theme in their downstairs cloakroom, which previously utilised a classic but unmemorable design.
Naturally the cloakroom was to incorporate all usual amenities, but with a design that was a little out of the ordinary.
Design Elements
Utilising some of our more unique options for a renovation, bathroom designer Martin conjured a design to tick all the requirements of this brief.
The design utilises textured neutral tiles up to half height, with the client’s own William Morris designer wallpaper then used up to the ceiling coving. Black accents are used throughout the room, like for the basin and mixer, and flush plate.
To hold hand towels and heat the small space, a compact full-height radiator has been fitted in the corner of the room.
Project Highlight
A lighter but neutral tile is used for the rear wall, which has been designed to minimise view of the toilet and other necessities.
A simple shelf area gives the client somewhere to store a decorative item or two.
The End Result
The end result is a compact cloakroom that is certainly memorable, as the client required.

Vivian FerneThe Vivian Ferne, Speakeasy wallpaper was beautifully installed as in this modern restroom staging. Black and gold vanity / fixtures allow for the wallpaper to remain the focal point of the room while also providing elegance, sophistication and class. Marble floors created a soft, elegant surface that blissfully reflects the gold leafing that was applied to this luxury abstract wallpaper design.
Fireclay TileThis petite space exudes major soothing energy thanks to our handmade tile. Set in a vertically stacked pattern and accented by the most adorably tiny sink, 2x8 Ceramic Tile in Sand Dune clads the wall and window casing of this modern bathroom with stunning color variation.

TVL Creative Ltd.This project was not only full of many bathrooms but also many different aesthetics. The goals were fourfold, create a new master suite, update the basement bath, add a new powder bath and my favorite, make them all completely different aesthetics.
Primary Bath-This was originally a small 60SF full bath sandwiched in between closets and walls of built-in cabinetry that blossomed into a 130SF, five-piece primary suite. This room was to be focused on a transitional aesthetic that would be adorned with Calcutta gold marble, gold fixtures and matte black geometric tile arrangements.
Powder Bath-A new addition to the home leans more on the traditional side of the transitional movement using moody blues and greens accented with brass. A fun play was the asymmetry of the 3-light sconce brings the aesthetic more to the modern side of transitional. My favorite element in the space, however, is the green, pink black and white deco tile on the floor whose colors are reflected in the details of the Australian wallpaper.
Hall Bath-Looking to touch on the home's 70's roots, we went for a mid-mod fresh update. Black Calcutta floors, linear-stacked porcelain tile, mixed woods and strong black and white accents. The green tile may be the star but the matte white ribbed tiles in the shower and behind the vanity are the true unsung heroes.
