Rhodes Architecture + Light

This group of four residences (three new residences and the extensively renovated original REI house - see the description of the original renovation under Anderson Gardens is located above Lincoln Park in West Seattle. The houses share a unique sweeping western view of Vashon Island and the Olympic Mountains. All four houses surround a large common garden dedicated to the owners of the original house. The size of the new houses, their planning, and the surrounding landscaping and site work were driven by a concern for the best use of the land. The site plan includes three one-car garages which can be converted into workshops, a shared central garden, private terraced gardens, and many shared spaces and amenities. Anderson Gardens has been featured in Northwest Homes and Gardens Magazine in the Fall 2003 issue and Cottage Living Magazine in the fall of 2005. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer featured the project in December 2005.
