By the way, I see that a couple of people have interpreted this bookcase to have an open back, but it's actually pieces of mirror glued to the backing between the shelves. It's on the wall opposite the only window in the room and helps to reflect the light. I had the unit tapered so it's deeper at the bottom and shallower at the top. It is mounted on the wall with two decorative legs at the front to make it appear to be a free-standing unit.
