• A busy family wanted to rejuvenate their entire first floor. As their family was growing, their spaces were getting more cramped and finding comfortable, usable space was no easy task. The goal of their remodel was to create a warm and inviting kitchen and family room, great room-like space that worked with the rest of the home’s floor plan.
The focal point of the new kitchen is a large center island around which the family can gather to prepare meals. Exotic granite countertops and furniture quality light-colored cabinets provide a warm, inviting feel. Commercial-grade stainless steel appliances make this gourmet kitchen a great place to prepare large meals.
A wide plank hardwood floor continues from the kitchen to the family room and beyond, tying the spaces together. The focal point of the family room is a beautiful stone fireplace hearth surrounded by built-in bookcases. Stunning craftsmanship created this beautiful wall of cabinetry which houses the home’s entertainment system. French doors lead out to the home’s deck and also let a lot of natural light into the space.
From its beautiful, functional kitchen to its elegant, comfortable family room, this renovation achieved the homeowners’ goals. Now the entire family has a great space to gather and spend quality time.

This family friendly kitchen design by K&W Interiors was selected as the Grand Prize Winner by Alaska's Best Kitchens Magazine for Fall/Winter 2012 and featured on the cover.
"A family with five children bought this home 2.5 years ago knowing that a kitchen renovation was in the near future. This outdated space with an unfriendly layout needed to be drastically changed to accommodate this large family's needs.
Having a list in hand of the requirements for their new space, the homeowners found designer Sheree' Baker of K&W Interiors to work with them. As a well trained design professional, Baker helped with all the details, such as choosing new countertops and selecting new appliances. The homeowner really disliked the old white tile counters. "They'll never come clean" she said. But, not only are the new quartz countertops easy to keep clean, they add significant counter space..." - Alaska's Best Kitchens

This Caulfield South kitchen features a Calacatta Caesarstone benchtop and French Oak flooring. Paired with a gloss-white tiled splashback and brushed brass fixtures, this kitchen embodies elegance and style.
The generous sized island bench is the anchor point of the free flowing kitchen. The joinery details were designed and skilfully crafted to match the existing architecture on the hallways doors, paying homage to the grandeur of the home. With multiple access points, the kitchen seamlessly connects with an open living space, creating an entertaining hub at the heart of the home.

Love this - very balanced with 2 full length cupboards on either end and the middle section with open shelving and drawers below the nook.

Traditional meets today in this beautiful kitchen remodel. A fresh color palette transforms this kitchen to meet this modern family’s needs. Thoughtful cabinetry design, with a large center island and rustic flooring are the key design elements. The challenge was to offer a traditional design with an emphasis on ease and functionality. The oversized refrigerator has a double freezer and all cabinets have multi-function storage built in. These are the ingredients that make this kitchen really cook.

Als Trockenbauarbeit wurde eine Hochschranknische mit Stichbogen geschaffen, in der ein Kühl- und Vorratsschrank aus massiver geweißeter Eiche seinen Platz findet.

French country styling is expressed here with the rustic plaster hood, muted colors and mullioned glass doors. The bountiful harvest mural and deco tiles (hand-painted in France with a crackle glaze!) are the epitome of country -- further accented by the faux window painting and yellow flower garland. (The faux window is hiding an oddly placed electronic controls.)
