John Bateman did a quality and professional job on the Duplex I completed in December of 2017. The job was completed on time schedule and on budget which has never happened to me before. I have built or remodeled 8 houses and working with John was the best experience I have ever had with a construction project. Thanks John for a great job!

John does high quality work and is extremely professional and responsive. He has a nice team of subcontractors and they were all easy to work with. John is really personable, a good communicator, and demonstrates a high degree of integrity. He has my highest recommendation.

My husband and I first worked with John Bateman 3 years ago when we bought our first home. He came highly recommend by our realtor. We did a lot of cosmetics to our new home. His company did a beautiful job on our home. John and his crew were reliable, they finished the job in a timely manner and we trusted John and his recommendations immediately. I met John when he was doing a project for one of my clients - the clients had moved away and asked John to remodel their home before it was listed for sale. Throughout the project John and his team worked extremely hard and with attention to detail. Since that first meeting years ago I've seen numerous projects of Johns' and referred him to many clients. John Bateman has done six projects for my family in two decades; two art studios, two remodeled bathrooms, one garage converted into a studio apartment, and a major home remodel. He reminds me of a great head coach, Steve Kerr let's say. He is versatile, knowledgeable, even-tempered, very responsive to the inevitable bumps in the road, friendly, financially fair, and he calls on the best team of sub-contractors we've ever worked with. John built our family home. Although we were warned against tackling such a large project, we found it to be a wonderful experience. John is a craftsman and he and his crew take great pride in their work. We absolutely love the details of our home, from the custom staircase and the interior trim work, to the gables and rafter tails on the exterior. John listened to our ideas and also offered sage advice regarding materials and design. Almost a year after our project was completed, we continue to appreciate the success of the endeavor as we enjoy living in our new home.

After interviewing multiple builders we were very pleased to meet with John personally upon the recommendation of our architect. He was honest, thoughtful (listened to our ideal requests) and creative in his ideas. We were very pleased with him throughout the process, from the first bid in which he consulted all of his subcontractors for accurate numbers, to changes we made throughout the building process, and are beyond thrilled at the finished product. John made many suggestions along the way such as radiant water heat that we ended up very pleased with. His attention to detail showed when he had the window representative back up to the home to re-evaluate a sliding glass door that John was not happy with. The representative replaced the door with a nicer door at no additional cost to us. We would strongly recommend John Bateman to anyone considering a new build or home addition.

My husband and I met with John Bateman as we were looking at prospective plans to build in Missoula. When I first met him, I knew he was a person of integrity and someone we could trust with this enormous project of building a home from the ground up. John has fulfilled my expectations in more ways than I could imagine. He respectfully and attentively listened to our requests, concerns, anxiety and excitement in building this home. He responded with knowledgeable answers and advised us appropriately. John kept us informed of timing issues and progress. When we ran into problems with the timing or construction issues, John did everything he could to see the job done within the anticipated time frame he projected. John and his associates custom-built all of our cabinets. They are exquisitely designed and constructed and we appreciate their skills in cabinetry making. John has a tremendous subcontractor crew who were highly skilled, worked in a timely manner, and were very respectful and personable.
