Erin came to us through a recommendation from our builder, Rosewood Custom Homes. After interviewing several designers, we chose Erin based on her portfolio and her personality. We were building a new 6500 square foot home. Erin gave us multiple options on payment. We chose an hourly option because we felt it was the most economical for our needs. It turned out that it was about the same as if we had done a fixed fee. We are very pleased with the fees and felt they were right for a project this size. Erin was extremely helpful in picking our colors, tile, fabrics, and lighting. Erin has a young family so her weekends and nights are limited. Unfortunately these times were the best for us so scheduling was sometimes a challenge. Nevertheless, Erin did a fantastic job. If Houzz were to allow half stars, we would likely have given Erin 4.5 stars based on our experience. While it was great overall there were some hicups and responsiveness was not always perfect. Please note, we would absolutely recommend her to any of our friends and family. Her style is impeccable. I think Erin might be a victim of her own success. She is a great young designer, but I think she might need to rely more on subordinates. It is something that all fantastic people learn their way through. You can only be in so many places at one time. I highly recommend engaging Erin Sander Design. She will work within your budget and not try to force you to buy a $30,000 couch when a $5,000 couch will do. Her ability to reduce the number of options to 2 or 3 was a life saver (and a marriage saver). She listens to her clients needs, desires, and budget and synthesizes them into a perfect design plan. If you are looking for an interior designer, I recommend you interview Erin and her team.
